Fa la, la, la, loving this holiday season. You've hung the lights, the tree is up, and the cookies are baking in the oven. Now it's time to sit around the fire surrounded by your friends and family. Let's face it we've all been busy and after a stressful year we deserve to relax. I've put together a list of the best 8 holiday movies to enjoy, so grab your favorite snacks, fuzzy socks, hot cocoa and just sit back and relax. 🎄

Will Ferrell, James Caan, Bob Newhart

This is by far my favorite Christmas movie in the entire world! Will Ferrell plays the elf with such innocence, he is so funny! This movie will make you laugh until you cry....over and over. It's the perfect film to watch with your family. 

Jim Carrey, Taylor Momsen

On the outskirts of Whoville, there lives a green, revenge-seeking Grinch who plans on ruining the Christmas holiday for all of the citizens of the town. This movie was pure magic. Carrey is a master and no one could have played this role to perfection as he did. There was plenty to enjoy for both adults and children and an instant classic for my family. 

Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Liam Neeson

This movie follows the lives of eight different couples in dealing with their love lives during a hectic month before Christmas. This film realistically looks at relationships happy and sad, successful and unsuccessful, with a future and without. It addresses different forms and levels of love, sometimes straightforward and carefree, sometimes complex and contradictory.

When it comes to enjoying that jolly time of year, there are several movies that must be viewed or else it just isn't Christmas. An eight-year-old troublemaker must protect his house from a pair of burglars when he is accidentally left home alone by his family during Christmas vacation.

After his wife Maggie passes away, Sam Baldwin and his 8-year-old son Jonah relocate from Chicago to Seattle to escape the grief associated with Maggie's death. Although Jonah misses his mother, he wants his father to get a new wife despite Sam having not even contemplated dating again. On Christmas Eve, Sam ends up pouring his heart out on a national radio talk show about his magical and perfect marriage to Maggie, and how much he still misses her. A perfect movie with comedy, romance, and film.
