The Easiest DIY Tie-Dye Loungewear

Hi babes! Bre here, I am the Marketing Assistant at Priceless popping in to give you the 411 on something trendy and affordable you can do at home. We all know that tie-dye is trending right now and TBH I am all about it! I always find myself looking for a more neutral tie-dye set that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. This DIY tie-dye project is something you can easily do at home by yourself, or even with a friend (we STAN matching lounge sets). Remember to be creative & have fun, this is a great time for you to create and unwind!

Here's what you'll need...

  • A loungewear set of your choice (I recommend black!)
  • Bleach (Any kind will work)
  • Rubber Gloves
  • Rubber bands or hair-ties

1.

Purchase a matching black lounge set of your choice! We recommend a cotton-based set so the tie-dye will set better.

2.

Prep by gathering your supplies: bleach, gloves, and rubber bands (or hair-ties) near your DIY tie-dye working space.

3.

Wet the clothes first if you want a more subtle final product, if not, leave them dry for more vibrant colors! Then, make your desired tie-dye design using rubber bands or hair ties. Keep in mind the spaces between the knots and how many you are creating. This will all factor into the final design!

4.

Apply the bleach to the pieces of clothing with your gloves on, scrunching the cotton sets and evenly spreading out the bleach. Let it dry for a few hours, then take out all the rubber bands.

And you're all done!

Give it a wash with just the two pieces of clothing in the machine so the bleach does not transfer to other clothes. Then h ang to dry or put in the dryer on low tumble!

We hope this DIY tie-dye tutorial was helpful! Spread the word by posting your tie-dye look and tag @shoppriceless! We'd love to hear from you. Comment below if you have any questions or just want to leave us a note! XOXO, babes!
